Field gold

Field gold bread is golden in more than just name: it is made using the gold of the field, nutritious wholewheat flour.

Field gold is a traditional wholemeal bread made from wheat. Alongside the wholemeal flour, we add a starter to the main dough that acts as a pre-dough. This starter is made from ground wholewheat grain mixed with hot water, which is then cooked to create a kind of porridge. This gives the bread more dietary fibres and creates a moist crumb, so that it tastes freshly baked even after three days.

Before baking, we decorate the bread with a mixture of grains. These are then toasted during baking to give the crust a nutty aroma.

 

Our field gold bread is delicious for breakfast with butter and jam, or for dinner with a hearty cheese.

Wholemeal wheat flour milling grade 1800, basic sourdough, water, yeast, salt, grain mixture only as decoration (oat flakes, sunflower seeds, linseeds, sesame seeds).

Grilled vegetable sandwiches made with field gold bread are not just for vegetarians. Spread cottage cheese onto 2 cm-thick slices, add grilled slices of courgette and auber-gine and spices to taste, drizzle on a few drops of olive oil, and enjoy.
